Openhome is a totally unique concept and property expert collective that has made its ‘home’ right here in Chester. Founded by local architects, designers, and surveyors, Openhome is on a mission to promote a holistic living experience of Chester as a hub of creativity and local culture, and the team is incredibly proud to be launching its first home right here in the heart of the city.

The Openhome team has just completed its first home on Castle Street. This is the perfect city pad – brought back to life, enhanced, and improved to allow flexible living and working that is ideally connected to the city.

 

The Castle Street Townhouse is a two-bed, two-bathroom amplified space with handmade cabinets, a secure car parking space and a private outdoor terrace. Designed by MONIKA Studio, an award-winning architecture and design practice, this unique home celebrates the best of Chester lifestyle. Everything you need for a full and sustainable life is right on the doorstep, and the team has worked closely with their friends and partners across the city to deliver a uniquely designed and fitted space.

The interior scheme has been carefully curated with work by local artists like the super-talented Maria Schmidt and promotes award-winning local produce and features from Jaunty Goat, Koji, Excuzze Me and Wild Florist.

The Castle Street Townhouse is located just a few minutes’ walk from the River Dee and Chester racecourse, and bustling Bridge Street is literally on the doorstep – the perfect location to enjoy all that the city has to offer. The property also benefits from a delightful outdoor terrace, secure and private, the ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine on a summer evening.

Design agency MONIKA Studio was inspired by Chester’s burgeoning food and drink scene when designing the property, which uses rich but muted tones to create an atmospheric interior. The functional space is fitted with lots of storage but leaves enough breathing space to enjoy the best of city living.

Openhome believes that good design creates thoughtful and beautiful spaces and that these enhance every aspect of our lives including playing, working, and learning. By working in partnership with MONIKA studio, Openhome is looking to bring homes to those in Chester who are striving for something more, and totally unique.

The team is also delighted to be partnering with Currans Unique to bring this exciting home to market. The next property, a one-bedroom live-work unit, will launch in September and will have the same uncompromising design quality.

Currently in the process of creating a stunning bespoke family home on White Friars, Openhome is planning an exciting larger development on Lower Bridge Street that will feature OH: concept pop-up store and event space as an extension to their fully integrated lifestyle philosophy.
